Souls Ablaze

by Hannah Emellia   Nov 6, 2006

Destruction is knocking at my door,
It's been there since the night before,
I'm fearing what it'll do to me,
But what it's done I already see,

Carvings on our children's spines,
A thousand stories in one line,
Freedom gone- forever in the past,
They've read this story, from first to last,

Coldness is my enemy,
Souls ablaze inside of me,
My heart is here for all to see,
Just kill me now... And set me free...

This poem is a little disturbing, I really like it. It's super powerful, expecially the last stanza.
