Forsaken Emotion

by Roy   Nov 6, 2006

What happened to my passion and the emotions that i had
now cold and rendered desolate i feel forsaken
the only thing i can still feel is that my heart is breakin\'
for the silent words unspoken that i read with my own eyes
thesame ones that shed tears for you in many painfull cries
now even my heart is numb from all the beating it has taken\'
just the thought alone that youre loving another
made me feel sorrow like never before --
and wonder why i\'d even bother
what is it that made him turn the tide
apperantly i was too weak without you by my side
dying on the inside -- but you won\'t get my pride
what is left of me still loves you
but apperantly my feelings won\'t pull trough
because you chose another without ever thinking of me
not that it mattered because you said love could never be
not that it mattered because my heart\'s been shattered.
i am unable to keep you as a friend
for i still love you and would be unable to withstand
the thought of you adoring him as much as i adore you
that sky i loved you under was like a veil so blue
now it\'s fading away--
becomming the 13th shade of grey
another beating for my heart
that will soon fall apart
unable to love evermore
for you made it worse than sore
is this what is left of my emotion ??
is my only passion and desire to feel no more
for then the pain would reside--
like my heart lost in the tide.

Ohmygosh, i was so moved by this, i loved the ending it was so beautifully written. The lines that stood out most to me however were "that sky I loved you under.... 13th shade of grey"
but then on reading it again i loved the whole thing, suddenly picking up on stuff that didnt click the first time. Brilliant! (PS. thanks for the comment on my poem, you have no idea how much it meant!!)

I've never quite read something like this...but it was good.

"for then the pain would reside--
like my heart lost in the tide. "

^^ I really loved those last two stanzas. Don't stop writing.
