There's nothing in this world I wouldn't give
to hear your voice echo through my ears one more time
often I try calling you, speaking to you
though silence is always the response

you've always been my hero and if you are proud of me, I have succeeded

when I think of the word trust, it is you who comes to mind
you've taught me its meaning and proved that it exists

and fill you in on all you've missed
not a second of our time together would be wasted

you are forever a part of me
and hearing your voice in my head impacts all decisions I make
I can still smell your distinct aroma at night
