Personally, I think it's pretty much a perfect poem. I went through the whole poem thinking about editing, because it didn't feel like it had any need for anything. I think it is something you'd get published, and I think it was very well written. I love the concept you have here, for one day, and the concept of if. It is hard to comprehend this as a sad love poem, but that's just what it is. I understand that you wish this all could happen. At the end I felt all happy, thinking that's what happened, you got married, but then I remembered the if's that changed it all.
