What hurt me

Sticks and stones
They can break my bones
But I do not feel the pain
And most words are ever so plain

So what can phase me
If words and stones cant hurt me
What can make my soul scream
The answer is in a dream

She fell in love with me
We starred into each others eyes
We did not want to break free
We both felt like sadness could never arise

It was our happiest moment
It felt like it would last forever
But that happy moment
Ended even though we wanted it forever

The reason was insanity
The thing I fear most entered my soul
It took my humanity
Changing my heart into coal

I watched in horror from darkness
As I hurt the one I love
Her pain brought on eternal sadness
I no longer wanted her love

All it did was lead to her pain
I wanted to cease to exist
I wanted to stop but I was insane
I returned to late she slit her wrist

Then I awoken crying
I realized it was a dream
But I felt like dieing
The pain made me want to scream

Even now it hurts me
The pain makes my eyes shed tears
All I want is for her to be free
