Empty Love

There is a kiss waiting here for you dear
If you ever do decide to return
I keep the one letter near
Hoping, if I read it again I will learn
Learn of my own secrets
Of what I do that makes you sick
What creates all of your regrets
And made you tick and tick
Was it because of my hair?
Was it too dull and black?
Was it because of my stare?
Because of my eyes, or my rack
Did I kill you with my words?
Did I strike you with my song?
Did I smother you in kisses, and birds?
Or was my love to long?
Did you think I was hiding a secret?
Because, I never would
For I kept you like an amulet
And you burned my heart like wood
I never wanted to hurt you ever
But I guess I did anyways
But why was it my love you severed
Why did you hate all my ways?
I will wait for you, and never forget
For I've nothing else to do
It's amazing how empty I get
Because of how much I love you
