War Poem: What are we fighting for?

by Taylor   Nov 8, 2006

Death advances now
on the front line.

One shot fired.

We're all now
at the mercy of the flame.

A battle fortold,
inscribed in the books,
with the blood of soldiers-

the blood of good men.

No triumph is gained
in the absence of loss.

No victory without anguish.

What are we fighting for?

From a soldier point of view which i am, "WE" are fighting for ur freedom. i don't know if you are a soldier or not but if ur not then thats why u think the way u r. im not attacking u so please don't take this the wrong way. but i am a soldier who fights for this country and apparently i know what i am fighting for.
