You Win

by Michelle   Mar 19, 2004

Just talking with you
Brings a smile to my face
Somehow, I feel
We're in the same place.
Miles go on endlessly
Time flies through the air
But when I'm chatting you up,
Somehow, I'm there.
Politics, religion,
What is our destiny?
Whatever the topic,
It brings you closer to me.
I'll take whatever moments
You have to give,
Somehow, like oxygen,
I need you to live.
Sharing feelings we have
My mind endlessly screams
Continuously scheming,
To bring you into my dreams.
Just *five tiny minutes
Of speaking with you,
And my heart again knows
What it's feeling is true.
Unrealistic expectations,
Come to the fore,
(Prag)matic has left once again
Slamming behind her the door.
A day without you now
Is a day fully unrealized,
I hope that you see it
When you look in my eyes.
I'm down for the count,
(Oops) we've done it again,
I'll surrender my heart,
You've won it, you win.

haha! gotta agree with Tim on this. how to match the comments of SIORWTB? but it really reminds me of what i am feeling recently, meeting this great person whom i have wonderful conversations with, talking about everything and anything under the sun! constantly wanting to hear her voice, wanting to see her, and even have her in my dreams! yes! she's won my heart! oh Michelle! how i wish i wrote this! LOL! this poem is really a culmination of a few of your previous writings isn't it? well, at least, that's how i see it... :) love this poem! once again, brilliant! luv, lawrence.
