The Day to Come

They walk down the aisle
hand in hand
smiling and laughing
singing with the invisible band

It's only the rehearsal
the time hasn't yet come
she's still known as Ms. Smith
but soon she'll be Mrs. Schum

Two more weeks
till he has her heart
two more weeks
until they'll never be apart

the date is set
inivitations were mailed
even though it's so close,
their ship has not yet sailed

her wedding dress will be white
his tuxedo will be black
once this marrige happens
they'll be no turning back

she won't get cold feet
it was simply meant to be
him and her, together forever
just wait and see.
