Tears

Those things you said have caused me grief

those words so cruel, though short & brief

They've caused these tears that fog my view,

that sprinkle on my cheeks like dew

They streak my face in darkened lines,

Creating faint mascara vines

My friends have tried to cheer me up

but i won't listen, i can't stop

But then one of my closest girls

said tears are like connecting pearls

& jewls should be saved, not spent
