To fear love

by Seth Eckel   Nov 9, 2006

To fear love seems hard to imagine
When one emotion seems so good
But when the past starts to repeat itself I can't help but to fret
I put my heart out there again
When someone sees and ignores that your heart is right in front or them
Then they just stand there deciding if it's worth taking
I left my heart out there again
Given the choice of another I see her persuasion swaying toward him
Given the power to take it all back I think I would
I think she dropped my heart again
I think It is broken now
Broken in different spots than it was before
They say what doesnt kill you makes you stronger but it feels like I die a little more inside each time
Everytime I have to cry a little and everytime I have to lie a little
They say that one day I will find someone but only after they have already done the damage
It's a sad day when your best friend throws at you the biggest insult of all rejection
To feel this pain feels like I am my only friend and even now my own company just feels like less than nothing
So to fear love is to die inside and have nothing to hide
