A Shadow of Mine (When Your Lonely)

by Weeping Wolf   Nov 9, 2006

Drifting through the morning breath...
I look through the mist and see
my shadow's eyes watching me.

She lays where puddles gather rain
something as sweet as candy canes
delicate as dandelions in the wind
shes not remembered by anything...

Oh and when she sees my smile turn downcast
she floats around to my face and asks...

"Where do you go when your lonely?
where do you go when he's forgotten you?
Where do you go when your broken?
Tell me sweet child and I'll follow you."

She sails upon clear blue skies
she stays through a child's cries
just to hold their head at night.

And after all has vanished in a day
as graceful as a swan she flies away
up into the clouds during a blue moon
where she sings to make angels swoon
this song, this comfort for everyone...

"Where do you go when your lonely?
Where do you go when hes forgotten you?
Where do you go when your broken?
Tell me sweet child and I'll follow you."
