cherished in my memory

all thanks to you.
you put the sunshine
in my cloudy sky
but don't be to blame
for my late night cries.

but there are times
when i can't hide
just one more cry
even if I've had
the best day every day
at night, when I'm alone
i find one more time
for one more cry
and it just seems
the tears keep coming
even when i dry my eyes
they just start again
leaking out, streaming out
down my face, across my cheek
and its a secret savior,
its a peaceful release
from the troubles of the day
its not your fault; i love you
but sometimes i need time
to just accept this sadness
a friend that never abandons me.
i was just meant for this,
i was just made to cry
and i can't control the way
the tears just keep coming
I'm not angry, I'm not mad
its because of the past
somethings i can't leave behind
and sometimes its just time to cry.

and whenever i apologize
or feeling so ashamed
or guilt, or let down
i just let it out
it comes so easy...
so easy for me to do
but i still love you
even if you leave
or even if you stay
not you, nor they
can stop these tears.
