Visions of You

No butterflies are swarming inside of me
No jitters when you are around
Just a calmness, a knowing you are the one
That keeps my feet firmly on the ground

I thought for sure these feelings would pass
For time eventually takes them away
But all the emotions that came upon me
Have not fleed but in my heart have stayed

It's frightening and exciting all at once.
I've never experienced this before.
To care for someone because of who the are,
This is a brand new feeling to explore.

I never thought I'd like a person for all they were
And for all I could see them reach out to be
But with you that is all I do envision
And of course, watching you, is me

But the nerve-wracking part is where does it go
For you still know not how I care
And quiet I remain until we are both ready
Maybe then, my visions I'll share
