Memories

by Carrie   Nov 9, 2006

One day I stopped to turn and find,
a part of my past we left behind.

You were standing there in front of me,
your face not long forgotten
no words did come at sight of you
though so much time did pass.

The love once felt was quick to go
as swiftly as it came
my heart nolonger yours to hold,
my memories nolonger yours to mold.

I turned around without a glance
to leave you once again,
that which should finally bring me closure
causes me so much pain.

The feelings still hang
though not as before,
as I turn the last time
as I close the last door.

The times we shared are treasured
and will forever be remembered
I will keep them of the memories
of the times we shared forever.
