A Good Thing Gone Bad

When I first met you
You did everything
More than I could ask you to do
You were my sunshine you couldn't bring any rain

You would call just to say, “I Love You”
You would send cards and candy
All I could think about was me and my boo
You even stop hanging out with Randy

We would sit under the stars
Fall asleep in each other's arms
You were always near, and never went to far
Whenever I was cold you made me feel warm

Days went by, everything went wrong
Nothing seemed to go right
I was always singing sad songs
Everything seemed dimmed; there wasn't any light

We would constantly fuss and fight
You would leave for days
Sometimes you wouldn't come home at night
At times I wouldn't know what to say

Months went by
Things got badder
All I would do is sit and cry
My months kept getting sadder

You would say disrespectful things
It would hurt me to my heart
I would pray you would change
And that we wouldn't part

Years went by
You would do things that would hurt me
I would sit and sigh
I was blinded by love and couldn't see

One day I got the courage to leave
I just couldn't take it anymore
I got tired of being deceived
I was on my way out the door

As I reached for the knob
I heard the trigger snap
You ran up on me, as If I was ready to get rob
You shot me 3 times in my back

But now I'm in a better place
And you're Resting In Peace
I'm good and safe
But not you, cause you shot yourself shortly after you shot me
