Call

by Aki   Nov 10, 2006

Time goes by.
I await your call to me.
Sitting on my bed,
Waiting for the phone to ring.
It lays before me
Silent, doing nothing.
Quieter then silence itself.
The minutes tick by,
You haven't called yet.
Those minutes are hours,
So many hours...
Waiting for your call.
I don't sleep,
I just wait...
Wait for the phone to ring
Wait for your call.
Morning has come,
And I'm still awake.
I'm sleepy,
But I'm not going to sleep.
Your call is important,
So important to me.
I don't want to miss it,
I don't want to miss you.
Sleep is greater though,
Greater then me.
Laying down it takes me.
The phone rings,
But I don't hear it,
I didn't need to get it...
The call wasn't you.
You come home,
Just minutes later.
Finding me asleep by the phone.
Of course there's a chuckle,
Its in your voice.
I do not wake.
You lay beside me,
Hold me close
And fall asleep beside me.
You forgot to call.
But I don't mind,
Not at all.
Because you're home,
Home now with me...
