Let Me Sleep

by Jay Sei   Mar 20, 2004

It's not done.
I believe it isn't finished.
I'll pour the dust of pain in your eyes,
and your dreams will be forever demolished.
The sounds of you leaving
ring in my ears.
See why I couldn't close my eyes
to see the slumber.
Something you said
pulled the trigger so deep.

You tell me to sleep.
You won't let me sleep.

I crave to see you fall.
I'm tired of this. I'm tired of you.

What was that?
I hope that's nature speaking.
The room suddenly drops to zero,
along with my heart.
I don't want to call it quits;
I still see forever in this.
The edge of the blade
rests on your voice.

You tell me to dream.
You won't let me dream.

I crave to see you fall.
I'm tired of this. I'm tired of you.

I wish I had dreamt last night,
instead of wanting to end your life.
I didn't mean it.
Choke me now.
Shoot me while you're at it.
"I love you... I hate you."
It's bouncing back and forth.
