I finally release a long held tear
Let it slither along my cheek
'Cause I do not longer care
If you think that I am weak

I have yelled my last longing beg
Let your words pass my face
'Cause I do not longer care
If you do not take my embrace

Now I am strong enough for this
To care, to cure, to love
'Cause I do not longer need
To hide in this godforsaken cove

So today I say goodbye to you
Leaving you to rot in this place
'Cause it is no longer my burden
To keep the fear from your face

    Wow, very emotional peice you have written there. I loved it. However this line, "'Cause it is not longer my burden" I believe should be changed to, "'Cause it is no longer my burden" Other than that wonderful write.

    Another very strong poem.

    Just one thing:

    "So today I say goodbye to you
    Leaving you rot in this place"

    ^ Here, in the last stanza, the last line would read better if it was, "Leaving you TO rot in this place."

    Anyhow, very good poem. :)
