Where were you when I was born?
Where were you when my heart was torn?
Where were you when I ran away?
Where were you when I became a stray?

Where were you when I fell down?
Where were you when I yelled at the town?
Where were you when I cried myself to sleep?
Where were you when I went too deep?

It's too late now don't come back,
You're just gonna throw me further off track!
Where were you when I needed you the most?
Where were you then, because now I'm a ghost!

As I think back on my life,
Most of the time I was hurting like being stabbed by a knife.
Why did it have to happen to me?
It could've been he or she but no it was ME!
