Angel's Tune

by Mousie   Nov 12, 2006

Pain it tears inside me
As I remember your sweet face,
The one that taught me all my life
My true and saving grace.

Voices echo your loving name
Grief it blankets us,
Three years has come to pass
The tears are just a must.

Cry for hours in my bed
Of unforsaken thoughts,
It's not like I can bring you back
Or even have a talk.

So to the sky I sing my song
Of hope and gratitude,
Praying you will here it there
And sing back the angel's tune.

Okay, it's official - I LOVE your poetry. This was beautiful. I know what it feels like to want to bring a person back, so I can definitely relate.

"Grief it blankets us" -- this line, I loved. I'm not all too sure why, haha. I just love the image which came from the word "blankets". It fitted perfectly.

    Excellent job.
