Freedom VS Imprisonment

by Thorn Lovely Dead And Lonely   Nov 12, 2006

In the middle of the misty night
There in her heart is staged a fight
Battle the spirits and keep him close
Or save his life and let him go

Silently wishing it hadn’t come to this
Already missing his tender kiss
She wanted nothing of her own
Just wanted to know that he was home

Maybe therein lies her mistake
Giving all in nothing she would partake
And in doing so she couldn’t see what she’d done
The pain and anguish, the rules she’d undone

Now he’s in danger and she sits alone
She could still save him but she’d have none of her own
She’d have to lie to save what was hers
Or leave him be and let him purge

Either way he was doomed to see
He’d no longer have any time to be free
Unless she would loosen up and say
We never did anything anyway

She’d have to tell him goodbye without saying a word
She’s have to raise her fist to be heard
And so she fights the problem in her heart
Wait for him always or make him restart …

I don't really get the whole gist of this poem... the meaning was kinda fuzzy (for me, any way) but the ryhme and flow was pretty good, so I give it a 4/5... still a godd job though!

    Ciao xx
