I first knew you as a friend
For you used to be my best friends boyfriend
I remember your love to her being true and extreme
You were always calm, even when she used to scream
And even though she had another guy in her life
You still wanted her as your wife
However, after you broke up, I still stood by your side
Tried to help you regain your pride
I listened to all the complains inside of you
And heard you swearing at her too
Just so youll get it all out, and stop feeling so blue
As a friend, I really cared about you
However after all that, our friendship started to change
At first it felt kind of strange
We who were just friends, went on our first date
I waited in the limo, eagerly sitting up straight
And when you finally walked through the door
You gave me a rose; you werent just a friend anymore
Especially when you started kissing me and asking for more
Our relationship was definitely not like before
Problems of our own we then started to get
It felt like someone was planning it
Having everything set
For you to hear certain stuff and get upset
This person ruined everything we had
And hurt me real bad
I really dont know why you believed what they had to say
Its not like you knew me for just a day
You should have trusted me and had faith in me
How could you just believe lies that you didnt even see?
Were you waiting for any excuse to get away from me?
Didnt you enjoy being with me?
Despite not believing me, the most thing that really hurt me
Is remembering how you used to treat my friend in the past
You knew that she was cheating on you for a fact
And you still tried your best to make your relationship with her last
Oh well, maybe your love to me wasnt as strong
Or maybe you never even loved me all along
