The Giant from Gullamalloo

by John   Nov 12, 2006

A giant from Gullamalloo
Once created such a hullaballoo
That his gargantuan roar
Just gave him lockjaw
And he was unable to bite or to chew.

The Fire Brigade came
Tried to relieve him of pain
By suggesting a diet of drink.
They forced a pipe down
Past his tonsils and gullet
And reached his large stomach - all pink

Ginger beer under pressure
Just filled him all up
And his belly grew fat and real large,
He swelled up like a ball
Then bounced off a wall
And BELCHED like ten hippos on charge.

The amazing reaction
Was a change of direction
And a trail of destruction not planned
As the force of the belching
And the subsequent squelching
Was unleashed on the buildings and land.

With his mouth opened wide
And his legs stretched aside
His body grew rigid with fear
And unable to contain
His gases and pain
He began his strange flight from the rear.

A belch forced him backward
Then a burp stopped him dead
And one sent him into reverse.
Til' he was flying around
Like a squib off the ground
Wind breaking sounds and much worse.

He eventually flipped
Upside down in a tree
Looking quite spent and surprisingly boring
Then he swallowed and said
"I just love ginger beer
I'm cured of my lockjaw and roaring!
