Flowering Bodies

by ntv650   Nov 13, 2006

You may see the corpses begin to flower,
And roots take their hold on lost memories.
Might their eyes full with life begin to dry
Or hair belie they walk in the land of the living.

So you will find my love too, stark as this.
Open the door and identify what we are.
Discover the pain of my rotting heart,
And remind me not of memories past
The decaying source of all our lies,
Or the truth that love and death share.

Heart ease your pain and cease to beat,
Don't treat words as tiresome meanings.
Instead see with dry eyes, live with stiff bodies.
And Love will not grow disillusioned with promises.
