Our Game

by LadyPearl   Nov 13, 2006

Let\'s play a game of chess
With our hearts as the king,
Our minds as the queen
And our pawns in between
How did it begin
That love would be hate
That we would fight to win
Placing our minds within

[Shadows rise forth to take their lead
Watching us one by one begin to bleed]

You chose your pawn
A young girl in black
Dancing atop a bar
Beneath you in my car
I could hear up in front
You crying out in pleasure
Already you forget me
Already you played me

Now my move is next
My pawn is the night
You know nothing of me
Or how I've long to be
Your star and your dream
But you tested my worth
With a little break-time game
Revealing me to a player's shame

[Succumbing to night, feel my cold lust
Let the echos weep and turn trust to dust]

Let\'s play a game of chess
With our hearts as the king,
Our minds as the queen
And our pawns in between
When you finally realized
I was all you ever needed
It was too late baby, I felt no more
Here's an early gift for your corpse

[You sold everything I gave to a wh0*re
My love wasn't enough, you had to have more]
