What of Me

The moonlight shines
Through the shattered windows
Inside lays a gate way
To hell caressed
By demons from below
A maiden alone and tattered
Her world twinkled
And shattered
A raven cry
Like the color of her eyes
And the deep blue
In the pigment of her skin
The moon shines on the floor
And her bare feet
Swollen and sore
They hit the ground
Softly and clammy
Running from her pain
That shows upon her face
As she runs through the castle halls
The stone crashes
And the mirrors now
Are outlined
And slicing her dress
The white sheet matter
Ripped and worn flows behind her
In a stream of fear
With death so near
No time to run
To get away
From her burden within
The torment of reality
Captivated in a shell
The flames run in
Destroying her sanity
They flood the stonewalls
Then isolating thorn vines
Spike there way through
The halls
Secluding the castle in
And in horror she stalls
Drops and falls
She stops and crawls
But the doors fly open
Shes been defeated
Her raven hair
Here in the dark
There is no way out
Iâ??ve sold myself short
And it climbs all about
The feeling
The one that I dwell on
Staring up at a ceiling
Thinking of what Iâ??ve done I know I was wrong
I guess I should face it
Like a line in a song
Embrace the music
Or the horror
Lingering here
I look in the mirror
And I see millions of tears
And I am scared
Scared of what I see
Deep fear in my blood
And it wonâ??t escape me
I am a hopeless mess
The demon under your bed
The monster in your closet
And the voice in your head
I am always there
I am good
But mostly bad
But as long as thats understood
You wont make me mad
You will never have to deal with me
Deal with what Ive become
The fire in hell
Or at least to some
The home of the devil
The witches dark spell
And the hearts that crumble
And the heroes that fell
I am the hunger
I am the thirst
I am the vengeful
And I keep getting worse
I am the pit of your stomach
And the whole in your heart
Dont try to escape me
Ill tear you apart
