Why I Love My Hair!

This is just a fun poem that I wrote about appreciating every part of yourself...no matter how difficult and unruly that part may be!

I love my hair for reasons
That some claim are insane:
I love its wildness when I first wake-up,
I love how it frizzes in the rain.
I love my many cowlicks,
And even those split ends,
And though I try to fix them--
I love how they wont mend.
I love it when its wavy,
I love it when its straight,
I love how when I curl it
It gets flat before my date.
I love it when its shiny,
I love it when its dull,
I love it when its stringy,
And when its way too full.
I love how when I dry it
It turns into a fro,
I love how, though I treat it well,
It never seems to grow.
I love how when I dye it
It smells for days and days.
I love how, though I'm just a teen,
I sometimes find some grays.
I love it when its greasy,
I love it when its dry,
I love how my conditioner
Just seems to make it die.
I'm sure you think I'm crazy,
But I think the same about you.
I love my hair cuz its a part of me
And you should love yours too!

    That's more of a funny poem, it cracked me up. when you first said you love the frizziness and split ends i was like i don't, but then i realized how thankful i should be for having a full head of hair, even if it comes with split ends and frizziness. i recommend you put it in the funny section.

    Ok....its really good! its really kool to find sumone who is inspired to write a poem on a topic so unusal...its different than all the poems on love and depression. and i really liked it. thx 4 the comment
