My Remedy

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Nov 14, 2006

I stood in the crowd, fighting my way.
I desperately tried to keep my head high,
Ignoring the pit in my stomach;
On the verge of a breakdown.

Now, I stand beside you, holding tight.
Your hand saved me from the danger
That seemed like the only option yet again;
My crusted crimson blade.

The pills numbed the stress,
Pushed the breakdown to a further date.
Yet, I know that I would not of lasted much longer;
The thread was slowly thinning.

You give me hope, you're my remedy.
Your hand promises never to let go,
Your words promise to always love me,
Your love promises to help me through this.

And I believe you.

You saved me from the inevitable;
You're my remedy.
I love you more than anything,
I need you like I've never needed anything before.
And I promise never to let go.

Je t'aime mon amour
