Wishing For True Love

As I lie here under the stars,
Wishing that I could find true love,
The Lord is watching over me,
All up from above.

Taking care of me, and
Saving me for that special day,
I am all alone,
Wishing there was another way.

All around me I see people in love,
Without a worry or a doubt,
Finding someone right for me,
Is all I can think about.

Guys come and guys go, but
I need someone who is here to stay,
Not having to worry if he's gonna stay with me,
For just another day.

Going to a movie show,
Seeing lovers kissing in the dark,
While some are even spontaneous,
Making love right in the park.

I know I'm not someone perfect,
With a super model body,
I know I'm one of the many people,
Who wasn't blessed with much money.

But, I do know I have a lot of love,
From a great, big, loving heart,
I also know I can make someone happy, and
Never will I part.

If only could I find,
Someone who will accept me for who I am, and
Get rid of all those people,
Who just want to be my friend.

One of these days,
I will find my love, and
Be happy forever and ever,
The will love me unconditionally, and
We will always be together.
