I Promised

by Ren   Nov 15, 2006

I promised not to cry,
I said I would hang on,
But the strength that I once held,
Is forever lost and gone.

I promised I wouldn't lose it,
I said I wouldn't scream,
But this unforgiving hatred,
Has turned from reality to a horrid dream.

I promised to hold on,
I said I wouldn't let go,
But now I don't know what I have,
But a broken heart that I can't sew...

I lost my grip,
I'm falling...
Hard,
and fast...
The sanity that I once had,
Is something that I wish would have last.

Now with nothing but a name,
And the memories of long ago,
I wanted to say 'so long',
To the life that I use to know...

I promised not to cry....
I'm sorry,
I lied...

So I clicked on page seven and I'm working my way back... err... foward through what you've written. And I read this one about four times. Guess I recognize the feeling.
