Of Love and Hate

by Rachel   Nov 15, 2006

Although my words may have little meaning to you now
I have to let you know
For all that it's worth
I hate you more than anything...

I thought love was supposed to be made from glorious things
Like hugs, and kisses, and golden rings
So maybe that's why I thought you were the true thing
I found hate is made from terrible schemes
Of lies, and heartache, and back-stabbing feigns
So maybe that's how you masked yourself as the love of my dreams.

To love and to hate
Are two very opposite extremes
So it was impossible to even think both could morph into one being
But you proved me wrong...

You were the source of my love
And you were the source of my hate
You were the source of my happiness
And you were the source of my pain
You were the source of my smile
And you were the source of my tears
And you were a big f---in' waste of time for two long years.

F--- you ex
The title you were bound to claim
What if I were to tell you a truth
That would put your so-called "game" to shame?
But you don't deserve that satisfaction
I'd be happy though to see the pain in your reaction.

No longer do I feel empty since we kicked this relationship to the curb
Like Missy, I feel so free, "I'm high as a bird."

You just gotta take a couple falls along the path of life
In time my TRUE LOVE will make me their wife.
