Saturated - a tale of lyrical melancholy

by SCARECROW   Nov 15, 2006

This one is for Tru, and my heartfelt apologies for the delay, exams got the better of me. I hope you like it, though. ^^;;; It's hybrid-circumstance based; schizophrenia plus suicidal tendencies, with a dash of despair. Maybe a dash of love too, hmm... Oh god, I can't understand my own poetry *panics*.
Also, please leave a comment, constructive criticism is MOST appreciated.
*******************************

Oh, the brutal swiftness of the tempest!
For with all it's warranted viciousness
it becomes the judgment of an impious decadence.

(I am uninspired
by inspiration.)

My mind bleeds a gasp, elicited by my eyes.
It is carried astray
by a hurricane like a brittle cane raindrop.

I whisper your name into the dank atmosphere.

(Somewhere,
on the lips of the threadbare horizon,
your smile became my essence.)

The wind whispers back to me in your voice;
heinous innocence.

Yet here I remain,
whilst our promises of forever lie broken
at our feet, under a sky saturated with hemorrhage:
our path to my judgment.

Is this what they call a wager
for the vacant mind?
I ask for I am indecisive,
uninspired to spill my soul like an overfilled glass
of cheap wine:
I am not the embodiment of a drunkard's ambiguity.

Perfect - And I don't say that often.
The vocabulary was outstanding - the best I've ever seen in a poem. The flow was flawless & the message was very deep. =] Overall, fantastic job! 5/5
