Courage is finding a way,
To say things others never wanted to say.
It's speaking from the heart,
And using your mind,
It's having patience,
And being kind.
It's telling the truth,
When you want to lie.
It's finding reasons to be happy,
When all you want to do is cry.
It's achieving the impossible,
And always holding your ground,
It's picking yourself up again,
When someone knocks you down.
It's smiling when you want to frown,
And trying to be happy when you're sad,
It's learning to accept things,
And take the good with all the bad.
It's having faith in yourself,
And of course others, too,
Courage is learning to face your fears,
Because they've got nothing against you.
