Please don't look at me
And say that I'm a freak
These scars are simply memories
Of times that I was weak

You think you can stereotype me
Yet you don't even know my name
You deliver just one crushing word
Because to you we're all the same

You don't know my past
You don't know what brought me here
You don't know what your mocking has done
Its because of you I live in fear

Fear of your harsh tormenting words
Fear of what you'll do
Having to hide and cover up
Because I'm scared of you

So this is what I share
A brief story of my life
Then maybe you can understand
Why I use a knife

My dad died of cancer
My brother did too
My best friend commited suicide
She felt the way I do

Everything I attempt
I end up falling short
Drowning in an ocean
Of sad and hurting thought

How can I escape
It hurts so bad
My mind is so tired
I hate being this sad

Is this enough proof for you
Does my past deserve this pain?
Will you please just stop judging me
Because it's driving me insane..
