Mercy

by Jody   Nov 16, 2006

Mercy, mercy, mercy
Is the cry of the oppressed
and weary.
Give, support and elect me,
Is the reply of religion
and political hierarchy.

People everywhere seeking
peace and stability,
The governmentâ??s response is
subsidies and bureaucracy.

In manâ??s desperate hour of plight and need,
Intentions and charity are good;
Still the results are diseased.

Who will arise to provide hope and salvation?
As even church and mosque has disappointed
And have been tainted.

A step to success in future enendeavors|_Is to use the past as a bridge to corrections;
To stop the trend of empty promises â??
Ruling powers oppose all vice and corruption.

To avoid the mistakes from history;
Revive (moral) principles,
Abandon hypocrisy.
