Dad?

Dad:

I think of you pretty much every day,
I say a prayer to help me live and stay.

Your not here for me nor have you ever been,
What about my marriage dad..where will you be then??

Ten years gone... then a couple more,
you left me in tears, and helplessly.. i waited at the door.

Thinking you'd come back, wow what a lie,
you never gave me a chance to say good-bye.

Don't cover up your mistakes and faults dad,
I'm happier now, things are great you should be glad.

Faking every smile, cheesy little grin
this is now dad, that was then.

Forget the past and live for today,
I need you more than ever, why did you go away!?

I need you dad but you seem to care less,
look what you did to your daughter dad...I'm a confused mess.

(This is to my dad who thinks he doesnt have a daughter.....)
