Jacob

by Reagan Lausche   Nov 17, 2006

Everything we've gone through,
Now reappears with the sad loss of you.

No one will every truly know why,
But because of your death we will all cry.

Your smile brightened so many peoples' day,
Which are now dark because you chose to go away.

Memories are now what we are left to feed on,
As we begin to realize that you are really gone.

You left before you were ready,
And now no ones heart can keep steady.

I wish I would have known,
Did you truly feel that alone?

This wasn't how things were supposed to be,
You've left behind so much misery.

We now bury you in our hearts,
And weep as your soul departs.

I wish that this whole thing wasn't true,
And will always be stuck missing you.

Were you thinking at all of the people you'd pain?
And through all of this what did you gain?

Nothing but questions are left for us now,
And this is the time that for you we bow.

One moment of silence for the remembrance of you,
Trying to understand what you went through.

So we will take this time and spend it well,
And be silent to hear our entire hearts yell.

I can't believe that life can end this fast,
But the memories of you will always last.

Know that you will always be thought of as a true friend,
And I look forward to when I will see you again.
