Nobody's child

by Karl Wild GG23   Nov 17, 2006

In a dark alley he cries
Cold and all alone
Tears rush down his eyes
As he's frozen to the bone

A 14 year old boy
Without a place to call home
Nothing left for him to enjoy
His dreams were blown away like foam

He's nobody's child
No one's worry or care
Out running wild
Like a feather in the air

On the corner he begs for money
A nickel or a dime
But they all say"sorry sonny
Can't help you out this time"

When all he really wanted
Was a couple lousy cent's
But through this he remains undaunted
With the struggles his life presents

He's nobody's child
Knows it's time to accept the fact
On the inside he is riled
But on the outside appears uncracked

When poetry is as filled with passion as yours, i look past grammer & spelling crap. this one embodies such resilience. it's very sad, but like your others it contains triumph. you must be an optimist. i also hope this wasn't you! if it was, i'd say you've done well! a thousand thanks for your comments! you rock. 5 (of course)! -beav
