I wish it would rain

by Karl Wild GG23   Nov 17, 2006

I wish it would rain
So that I could go outside
Because a mans not supposed to cry or show pain
But my tears the raindrops shall hide

My tears will be hidden by the raindrops
As they both fall simultaneously
This way nobody notices and stops
It will be far to difficult to see

And if they somehow see my tears
Because deep inside my eyes they gaze
I'll tell them it's not as it appears
That it's just these rainy days

But it's really these days I long for
They give my eyes disguise
The only days i don't adore
Are the days with clear blue skies

Oh how I wish it would rain
So I could go outside and play
Weatherman says clear blue skies again
Looks like I'll be inside today

Touching, actually, with a creative, ending. To be truthful, the ending is probably my favorite part. I love how it's a twist, and is in a different tone than the rest of the poem, yet still manages to fit in so well. Very nice. Creativity is definitely not your downfall.
    5/5.

Nice. i picked this one because the title is the same as one of my favorite song by The Temptation's. after reading the poem- i wondered, is Karl a Tempt's fan too? if you have never heard the song i'm talking about- you must! anyway- i liked this. for some reason i had a sunny rainy day pictured. because there is a certain confidence in this poem. there is a big positive aspect in it. it's not on the surface, though. there is a hope. very appealing to the senses. excellent! 5 for Karl. -beav i hope my comments aren't too weird! :)
