In the Eyes of Decadence

by Rebecca   Nov 18, 2006

In the eyes of decadence
Love, peace and unity crumple and fall like a dusty, dead rose

Hate, pain and deceit, the followers of chaos,
Melt away the life of these naive entities as the
Fire and shadows scream in triumph

The air doesn't smell as sweet as it once did,
Nor do the sights of luscious forests, green valleys and serene oceans fill the eyes of the despaired

In the eyes of decadence,
Only the fire of hatred,
burning ever so luminously
in the tortured souls
can remain strong and invincible
