I'm sick of these sad love poems
that are always about you
About everything I've done
And what you put me through

I gave you back my heart
And you broke it again
Now I'm back to where I was
Shaking and crying in pain

How could I be so stupid?
How could I be so blind?
It was obvious you didn't love me
I should've known the whole time

But why did it have to be me?
Why didn't you just go?
Instead of pretending you still cared
Why didn't you just let me know?

Last night I stayed up crying
While my friend held me in her arms
I only wish she wasn't late
In protecting me from harm

I wish you could've been there
To see my salty tears
I wish you could've felt
The pain I've come to fear

I want to tell you I hate you
But I know that its a lie
So I'll just smile to your face
But when you turn around I'll cry

I'll pretend that I am happy
And that I'll be ok
Just know that its not real
It's nothing more than a play.
