2am

It has now struck 2am
And I'm still wide awake
This feeling of missing you
I just can't seem to shake

Unable to fall asleep
I'm feeling all out of sorts
Sitting staring at the clock
With you fixed in my thoughts

Only a few hours now
Until I see you again
But the way the time is moving
The night is never going to end

I've tried listening to music
Tried counting countless sheep
I have tried most everything
To get myself to sleep

Nothing ever seems to work
I'll just have to wait it out
The time will pass, the sun will rise
Of that I have no doubt

It's just a game of patience
A lesson I need to do
Cos when the nights completed
My reward is seeing you! ©

    That was kinda tight mama... i was feelin the intro the most. seems like you ended it on a quick note though, like you had more to tell. but i donno.. still a good write. 5/5

    Ahh been there many countless times, but i was waiting for my friend to call me, usually around 2 is when she get off from work and i be the first one to talk to...at times she would call me knowing i be asleep and wake me up. lol good times they were.

    but waiting for that one person, does seem like an eternity and doesn't help that time is against you, making it drag on forever. but when it pays off in the end, getting to see that one person who'd you stayed up so late to see.

    well you said you tried almost everything to sleep. well should have tried drinking night quil. that works fine on me, knocks me out before i know it. lol kidding of course about drinking night quil.

    excellent poem here, i know there are many ppl out there that has encounter this situation.
