Salt on Sand

by gabriel   Nov 19, 2006

I'm like salt on sand
Impossibly there
You can't contend
So you keep me bare

The subtle air of salinity
Of complexed breeze that past
Renders you of your vanity
That porcerlained texture of glass

The twisted sunshine encapsulating
This tiny globe condescending
Yet you assume that you're God
Kicking up a storm when you're bored

Splotchy grey wool fill up the sky
A chilly rumble passes us by
You dawdle in make-up without a care
I'm simply laid here - all naked and bare
