The way you once made me feel
Was the best feeling I have ever known,
Our love so special and unique
One we had made our own,
There was never a lonely day
That I felt you were never there,
We had this way of knowing
This bond so strong we would care,
We would always make an effort
To see each other right,
Your voice was my only comfort
When we were not able to spend the night,
Warmest feelings that I had experienced
Were once taken away,
By this man I truly loved
And thought would never stray,
I devoted my life to someone
Who I thought would be the one,
But really this goes to show
How any one person can be wrong,
This will not change my view of men
I will just learn to be more wise,
And not think that I should settle

Without him all I see is darkness
