Hidden Jealousy

by Ashes   Nov 19, 2006

She walks through the halls,
Every day so alone.
Seeing them together,
Their love so publicly shown.
She always hurried past,
Tried not to show a glance.
As she tried not to show the jealousy,
Of the one who stole her chance.
Her envy raged throughout her body,
Tore at her feeble mind.
She'd bite her lip as she fought not to scream,
Showing all the hurt inside.
She wanted to rip her eyes out,
Throw them onto the floor.
Wished to slit her helpless throat,
She couldn't take it anymore.
No one knew she felt this way,
They all thought she didn't care.
Maybe a few had an idea of her suffering,
But when she needed them they weren't there.
So she continued to walk with her pain,
Each step a bitter cut.
And her that heart bled each minute,
She failed to shut.
Did he see through her act?
Could he see it in her eyes?
Was he the only one who realized,
That all her smiles were lies?
If he did she never knew it.
So she locked herself away.
Never again to see them kiss,
She left reality that day.
