A Night With Her

by Nicholas Kerst   Nov 20, 2006

Sitting on the deck,
On a late winter night,
The breeze runs off my face,
While i marvel at this sight.

The moon shines down on us,
But trees obscure it's light,
Though sitting here with you,
Makes everything alright.

Cuddling close together,
To keep ourselves warm,
Clouds are rolling in,
But I'll protect you from the storm.

The infinite stars in the sky,
Out of reach, so high above,
I've counted them all in my head,
And it doesn't match our love.
