If they stood up, they were disgraced

Ideas were devoured
Women were kept quiet
They hadn\'t held any power

Once upon a time
Women were meant only to conceive
They stayed home and bared children
They were married young and naïve

Once upon a time
A few chose to stand out
They wanted to have a place
This movement began to sprout

Once upon a time
Feminism made its way
Women made ideas
Ideas that made today

Once upon a time
Writing this would have been wrong
But this is a new time, times change
And women will remain strong
