Mother Moon

by LadyPearl   Nov 20, 2006

Divine night
Wipe away footsteps
So the wolves would not find
Me seated upon the river
Gazing toward a disk

Surely you can feel
My consent on your presence
Lingering in the depths of life
An enigmatic secret

I am yours
To drown in fiery embers
I am yours
to be secreted
Behind a screen of dreams

But what am I
Compared to your gracefulness
Blooming upon the painted sky
I'm just a mere human
Isolated in a world of dullness

Staring every single night
Wishing I were you
So charming, so calm
That even the bitter winds
Can never shake you
away from home
