Grace in Pain

by Weeping Wolf   Nov 21, 2006

Grace in Pain

Her fingers glided lightly
over the discreetly grand piano
and though she played in heaven's wake
he never cared much for music...

His suspicion was strong, but he wanted proof
he saw her singing magnificently on the roof
with nothing but a white florescent robe
to shield her from the nightmare's storm
dancing behind her on wind's golden wings
under the stars she weeps, she sings

The moonlight and her beauty overthrew him
in his mind was surrender, in his heart was love
but his thoughts still rested in flames below
so she could not, regretfully, let him know
still hoping in vain, her grace in pain

But Oh-grace in pain-this Hallelujah!
she cries out into the night
grace in pain...grace in pain
this deadly serenity like rain
but all love and all victory came
washing away the stains of shame
oh...and grace flies freely away...

For through the blood, dust and life
scars and sorrow destroyed in glory's light
for Grace and love were reborn and rejoined that night
Oh Hallelujah, how he cared for her soul was music...

Its not what it seems-
